Hi there again! Today I'd like to show you my newest wedding mugs set. Again, I gave vent to my "dotting passion" :) by leaving tiny drops of white paint on the dress. I wanted to achieve this somewhat impersonal look so I didn't paint faces. Well..., there will be the right faces visible when the newly weds drink form it ;) I also wanted it not to look overdone so I limited myself to painting the names and dates just next to the bride and groom. What I love though is this cute gift box I happened to find! And the mugs fit perfectly inside. Witam ponownie, tym razem mam dla Was komplet na ślub. Oczywiście nie mogłam się opanować i "wykropkowałam" sukienkę :) Twarzy nie namalowałam celowo - właściwe buzie pojawią się na miejscu, kiedy para młoda będzie z nich piła. Zaraz obok postaci możecie zobaczyć srebrne imiona i datę. Pudełko znalazłam przypadkiem i od razu się w nim zakochałam, tym bardziej że kubki mieszczą się w nim idealnie! And here ...

I've always liked magnolia trees. My neighbours used to have a beautiful one in their frontyard. Whenever it bloomed, it made me totally enchanted. As magnolias are in full bloom right now I got inspired :) Have a look at the results and my tutorial. Zawsze lubiłam magnolie. Co roku wydają mi się niesamowicie czarujące, a ponieważ właśnie znów kwitną, pokusiłam się o nowy kubek, no i na jednym się nie skończyło :) What do I need? a mug or some other porcelain/glass object of your choice two brushes, one thinnest possible and the other one a bit thicker (I used 0 size and 5 size; I cleaned them with alcohol when I wanted to switch to a different colour, you can also wash them in water with soap) porcelain paints: black, green, white, pink (I used Lucas porcelain paints) some alcohol a few cotton pads, handkerchief a regular kitchen oven  Czego potrzebuję? dowolny kubek (lub inny porcelanowy/szklany przedmiot), który wpadnie Ci w oko dwa pędzelki, jeden ...

A few days ago I recalled the Moomins cartoon and its impish character - Little My. A lot of us, girls, have this alittle devil inside, don't we? I wanted to make a mug that would go along with it so here it comes :) The notice is in Polish and means something like "a little devil's mug" or "a mug of a mischievous girl". As I like to take advantage of the shape I decided to make her sit on the edge, as you can see below. Btw, the font was fun! :) Kilka dni temu wspominałam ze znajomymi bajki naszego dzieciństwa. Nigdy nie przepadałam za Muminkami, ale dobrze pamiętam Małą Mi - charakterne stworzenie, które to właśnie natchnęło mnie do zrobienia kubka pasującego do charakternych dziewczyn :) Postanowiłam umieścić ją w jakiejś mniej banalnej pozycji niż frontalna, więc siedzi sobie na brzegu... a przynajmniej to chciałam osiągnąć :P Of course I couldn't do without a reference but this time I had to use a gif :D as I liked this pose most Tym razem ...

Feel like painting something? A birch tree would be an excellent choice! Why? It's easy even for a beginner but still the final look seems quite intricate. The most important thing you need here is patience ;) Jeśli kusi Cię pomalowanie czegoś samemu, ale nie możesz zdecydować się na motyw, polecam drzewa np. brzozy - są dosyć łatwe nawet dla początkujących, nie mniej jednak efekt końcowy robi wrażenie misternej pracy. Jedyne czego potrzebujesz to cierpliwość ;) What do I need?  something to paint on e.g. a bottle paints for glass or porcelain. I used "Lukas" paints which can be fixed in the oven. Ryuk is one of the main characters from a brilliant manga and anime Death Note. He's a 'shinigami' that is god of death. As he was bored, he dropped his Death Notebook from his world onto Earth to have some fun watching a human handling it. The whole series keeps you glued to two guys' game of outsmarting each other over the notebook in question. A must-see. The tea pot featuring Ryuk is a gift for my brother - a true fan of this series. To tell the truth I used a printed picture under the glass to make things easier when it comes to right proportions. And it did :) Ryuk to jedna z głównych postaci mangi i anime Notatnik Śmierci. Będąc znudzonym 'shinigami' - bogiem śmierci - celowo upuszcza na Ziemię swój notatnik i chce się rozerwać obserwując człowieka który go znajdzie. A znajduje go oczywiście z pozoru zwyczajny chłopak. Polecam! Dzbanek jest już w dobrych rękach mojego brata - wielkiego fana tej serii. Co do samego procesu malowania muszę przyznać...

Here's one o my newest commissions, a very demanding one - Buckethead. It was supposed to have a specific portrait on it, the names of his CDs in chronological order and original fonts plus a portrait of him playing his guitar. Unfortunately, the profile and hands proved to be too difficult for me (as hands almost always do...) and the commission had to be changed. As a result you can see the guitar typical of Buckethead instead of the second portrait. Buckethead to jedno z moich największych wyzwań. Zgodnie z zamówieniem na kubku miał być konkretny portret, tytuły płyt ułożone chronologicznie i zapisane oryginalną czcionką oraz drugi portret na którym Buckethead gra na gitarze. Niestety poległam na dłoniach... i zamiast drugiego portretu mamy typową dla niego gitarę. and just to compare here you have some of my reference photos:   i dla porównania zdjęcia z których korzyst ałam:

Hi there again, I've just thought you might like to see some work in progress. So here it is, that's what Dexter looks like without his nose ;) Don't think I always leave noses for the end, though. The problem here was I painted it too long, sort of witchy  :D and I had to erase it. Panie i Panowie, oto Dexter bez nosa ;) nie było to jednak nic zamierzonego, nie zostawiam sobie nosów na koniec, po prostu wyszedł niefortunnie długi i trzeba go było poprawić. Po prawo dodaję krwi, ba, krwi nigdy za wiele w tym przypadku :)))))
